COMMON CORE STATE STANDARD (CCSS)
The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) has become the standard in which the majority of schools has been adopting in their educational department. In addition, standardized test has been aligning with the CCSS. The CCSS is a standard used in the United States which outlines in vivid detail what each grade from K-12 in English Language Arts and Mathematics should be learning at the end of each grade. The National Governors Association ( NGA) along with The Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) are two organizations which initiated that each state should align with the CCSS to ensure that students graduating from high school are able to enter college institutions or the workforce. The A beka curriculum in which JHA will be using meet and exceeds the standards. For more information, visit http://www.abeka.com/resources/commoncore.aspx.
